Creating a Math Toolbox for your Middle School Child
Math can be a subject that
people either love or hate. For middle school children with
learning differences, it can be an especially frustrating
subject. But does it have to be? Using quality strategies
or tools to add to a student’s “toolbox”
can make all the difference in helping to ease the frustration
and increase confidence. A math toolbox will empower the student
and give them some control over their learning, thus building
an “I Can“ attitude. Several experts have contributed
to this article to help parents understand what is being taught
and why. You may be surprised and even add some of these tips
to your own math toolbox.
